Dr. Fitzgerald is the owning practitioner and aside from practicing medicine is also the medical director. She has equipped the facility with a number of state of the art medical, surgical, and lab equipment. She is responsible for hiring employees, delegating employee responsibilities and staff training. Dr. Fitzgerald also establishes and maintains medical protocols and Hospital policies.

All doctors employed by Suwanee Animal Hospital are required to assist Dr. Fitzgerald in training, directing, and managing our Veterinary Technician and Animal Handler staff.

Dr. Fitzgerald's son Jon Fitzgerald is the office manager, network administrator, web site administrator, and the marketing director. Jon received his Bachelors in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia. He also has completed postgraduate schooling in a Master of Internet Technology program at UGA. Jon is an original member of the Greater Atlanta Veterinary Management Association. Jon spent time as a kennel employee and an animal handler at Suwanee Animal Hospital when he was in High School. As a summer job in college he assisted in the back office at Suwanee Animal Hospital with clerical duties. Before joining the Suwanee Animal Hospital full time in 2003, Jon held positions at Amerisave Mortgage, Dorey's First Commercial Listing Service, and Fitzgerald Land and Commercial Realty where he honed is administrative abilities. He also developed websites for several small companies. Some of Jon's duties at Suwanee Animal Hospital include training and supporting the receptionist and kennel staff, Human Resources for employees, and inventory management.
